What a retention audit should refuse to promise
A useful audit of subscription activity and user retention has edges. Without them, the engagement turns into vague encouragement.
We refuse to:
- Guarantee a percentage-point lift in retention after the memo
- Rank tools or vendors as part of the audit fee
- Treat a single dashboard screenshot as sufficient evidence for board-level claims
- Collapse pauses, grace retries, and true cancels into one “churn” number without saying so
What we will do is read the activity you already collect, name the gaps, and leave you with measurement priorities your own team can act on. That is slower marketing copy and better work.
If a proposal promises “full funnel transformation” from a two-week review, ask what data they will see and what they will not invent.
